Last year, our dedicated players enjoyed over 3,037 years playing 60 million games based on our unique Settlers of Catan alternative. Our globally distributed, fully remote team is passionate about developing highly polished digital board games that resonate with players.
About The Role
As a Product Developer Intern, you will collaborate with our game development team to tackle intricate product challenges and create captivating game modes. Your contributions will ensure a seamless user interface and experience across all platforms. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of high-quality game and product development while influencing a game that captivates millions of players.
What You Will Be Doing
Enhancing game UI and UX with an emphasis on clarity, polish, and enjoyment
Contributing to the development of new game modes, features, and gameplay experiences
Transforming product concepts into functional features for our player base
Collaborating across various technical stacks as necessary
Working asynchronously with product teams
Gaining insights into shipping, iterating, and enhancing features based on player interactions
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a degree program, preferably in software development
Willingness to commit for a mid to long-term internship (not limited to summer)
Enthusiasm for completing projects from inception to completion
A keen interest in user experience beyond just coding
Driven by the challenge of solving complex problems
A passion for board games is a plus
Preferred Skills
You are not required to meet all of these qualifications, but they are advantageous:
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript
Experience with Git and version control systems
Participation in side projects, prototypes, or experimental work (completed or in-progress)
