Essential Skills:2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Approachable personality with the ability to build rapport with team members and other departments. Experience with Windows 10 administration. Proficient in hardware and software fault finding, inclusive of thorough root cause analysis. Ability to effectively translate user problems into actionable requests and successful resolutions. Experience with Windows PC/laptop management via Active Directory. Proficient in PC hardware installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of enterprise-level antivirus solutions. Experience with mobile device management, including iOS and Android devices. Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (we utilize Jira Service Desk). Desired but Non-Essential Skills:Experience with any additional relevant technologies or certifications.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of our systems, acting as the primary point of contact for users facing technical challenges.

Your problem-solving expertise will be crucial as you troubleshoot a variety of technical issues, assist with cybersecurity initiatives, and adopt a proactive approach to your work.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Performing desktop maintenance primarily on Windows 10, along with some Apple and Android devices.
  • Collaborating with the infrastructure team to support software rollouts and patches.
  • Maintaining label and industrial printers.
  • Providing application and user support, especially for Microsoft Office 365.
  • Assisting with in-house custom application support (training provided).
  • Managing Active Directory users.
  • Helping to maintain enterprise antivirus solutions.
  • Installing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Creating and updating internal documentation for the IT service desk.
