As the Account Director specializing in Hedge Funds, you will cultivate executive and technical relationships with premier buy-side investment firms, including sophisticated multi-manager, systematic, and data-driven investment platforms globally.

This technical enterprise sales position requires you to engage with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of AI, data leaders, platform engineering teams, portfolio managers, researchers, and compliance stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of OpenAI solutions across various domains such as research, data analysis, coding, knowledge retrieval, model evaluation, internal AI platforms, and production workflows.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly transition between strategic board-level discussions and intricate technical dialogues concerning APIs, model routing, evaluations, data security, observability, and responsible deployment in regulated environments.

This position is available in New York City or San Francisco, utilizing a hybrid work model with three in-office days weekly and offering relocation support for new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a dedicated portfolio of hedge fund and alternative asset management accounts, crafting long-term strategic account plans.

  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes involving executive, investment, technology, data, AI, research, legal, security, and compliance teams.

  • Foster trusted relationships with highly technical buyers and internal platform teams responsible for evaluating, integrating, and managing AI within their organizations.

  • Collaborate with Solutions, Product, Engineering, and Research teams to design pilot programs and large-scale deployments that deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Assist clients in identifying high-impact AI applications within investment research, data analytics, document intelligence, coding, market surveillance, workflow automation, and internal AI platform initiatives.

  • Operate within regulated, security-sensitive environments demonstrating strong judgment regarding privacy, compliance, information barriers, and ethical AI deployment.

  • Take ownership of revenue, consumption, pipeline, and performance forecasting for your account portfolio.
