About Us
Established in 2010, Challenge Preparatory Charter School, located in Far Rockaway, Queens, has been dedicated to empowering students and their families through a robust academic program. We proudly serve over 1,200 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade across three campuses. Our mission is to equip students from the Far Rockaway community with the skills necessary to excel academically, master the NY State Learning Standards, and pursue their career goals. We foster the intellectual, aesthetic, social, emotional, and ethical growth of our students, preparing them to become responsible citizens in the 21st century. To achieve our mission, we provide a comprehensive instructional program in a safe and supportive environment, enriched with technology and data, alongside authentic field experiences, career counseling, and access to college coursework. Collaboration across our multiple sites is paramount, as we are one cohesive organization dedicated to supporting every scholar.
