Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Design and validate aerodynamic configurations, surfaces, and control geometries using CFD analysis and historical data. Support flight dynamics modeling and simulations for assessing stability, control, and performance. Provide insights on propulsion integration, cooling airflow, and control surface sizing. Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to ensure aerodynamic designs are practical and production-efficient. Conduct aerodynamic load analyses to validate airframe support. Create and maintain comprehensive databases, performance models, and engineering documentation. Correlate CFD results with actual flight test data. Engage in flight testing and data analysis to ensure alignment between measured and predicted performance. Assist in developing flight simulation models. Ideal Qualifications:Expertise in CFD tools, including ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, and XFLR5.Experience with CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX for surface preparation and geometry creation. Deep understanding of aerodynamics, stability and control, and aircraft performance metrics. Familiarity with mesh design and refinement techniques, particularly fluent meshing. Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
