Join our dynamic team at High Tech High, where we are actively seeking Aftercare Assistants to support our students in their after-school activities.

Reports To: Aftercare Director & School Director
FLSA Classification: Hourly Classified
Employment Status: Part-Time, Non-exempt
Nature of Position: Regular
Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $24.38
Benefits: This position does not qualify for benefits.

High Tech High, established in September 2000, has grown from a small charter school to a robust network of sixteen schools serving approximately 6,350 students in grades K-12 across four campuses in San Diego County. Job Summary
 
As an Aftercare Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the after-school experience for our students. Your responsibilities will include mentoring, tutoring, and leading engaging activities, all within a safe and structured environment. This position requires in-person presence on campus.

Key Responsibilities:
 
● Supervise children in various indoor and outdoor settings.
● Create and maintain a safe, organized atmosphere for students.
● Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for.
● Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging activities for students.
● Assist students with homework and virtual learning tasks.
● Implement emergency procedures and safety protocols as needed.
● Perform additional duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
 
The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive environment for learning and growth.
