About Our Team:
The Advanced Computing and Storage Lab is part of the Vancouver Research Centre, dedicated to pioneering adaptive computing architectures that tackle the challenges of variable application loads. Our focus on stability and quality ensures efficient training clusters and dynamic configuration strategies, with an emphasis on AI applications like large model training and inference using technologies such as low-precision training and reinforcement learning.
Internship Overview:
This internship will target critical AI application scenarios, enhancing performance and usability of AI systems on the Ascend platform through innovative techniques like low-precision training and multi-modal optimization.
You will be responsible for designing and developing optimization solutions for AI training and inference systems, including FP8 optimization and RL-driven training agents.
The role demands combining AI algorithm requirements with system-level optimizations in computing, I/O, scheduling, and precision control to boost performance.
You will build robust AI training clusters utilizing dynamic configurations to ensure scalability and reliability.
This internship includes the development of software frameworks, operator libraries, and system-level optimizations for NPU platforms aimed at accelerating large-model AI training.
Drive groundbreaking advancements in large-model training and inference through low-precision training and parallel strategy tuning.
