Qualifications

Educational Background: A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience. Technical Expertise:Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit operations. Experience in Applications, Design, Product Evaluation, or Test Engineering within a mixed-signal or analog setting. Knowledge of product definition and development. Proficiency in printed circuit board design. Familiarity with Cadence OrCAD schematic entry, Cadence PSpice A/D, and Cadence Allegro, or similar tools. Exceptional analytical and circuit debugging skills. Demonstrated good engineering judgment. Experience in analog and mixed-signal system modeling, data acquisition and control, and signal conditioning. Proficiency in programming with Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, or embedded software for data acquisition.

As the primary technical liaison between our customers and the manufacturing team, the Applications Engineer plays a pivotal role in translating complex technical specifications into accessible information for our diverse customer base.

The Applications Engineer will create and disseminate technical resources such as evaluation boards, design examples, and comprehensive documentation including datasheets, user manuals, application notes, white papers, product advisories, and errata. This position also involves providing immediate technical assistance to customer inquiries via phone or email and delivering training sessions, both in-person and online, to customers and sales teams. The goal is to become a trusted source of technical knowledge for each product offering from our company.

Role Overview:

The Analog and Mixed Signal Applications Engineer will specialize in our extensive range of linear products and solutions, which encompass:

  • Analog to Digital Converters
  • Resolver to Digital Converters
  • Digital to Analog Converters
  • Analog Multiplexers
  • Operational Amplifiers
  • Comparators
  • Voltage References

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with customers and our Field Applications Engineers (FAEs) to drive pre-sales activities and ensure the successful introduction of new products. Your efforts will be instrumental in achieving customer design victories and expediting the market launch of their innovations. By developing evaluation boards, crafting technical documentation, and preparing product presentations, you will significantly impact the success of the products and the satisfaction of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative hardware solutions, including evaluation boards and reference designs tailored to our product applications.
  • Offer technical support through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person visits.
  • Troubleshoot low-level hardware challenges faced by customers.
  • Conduct simulations and laboratory evaluations to assess product performance under specific customer conditions.
  • Create evaluation and demonstration PCBs, including schematic design, layout advice, component selection, and documentation.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations to both customers and sales teams.
  • Provide training sessions to customers, Field Applications Engineers, and technical sales personnel to enhance their understanding of our products.
