Innophos, Inc. is hiring an Analytical Chemist II at its North Salt Lake, UT facility. This role works alongside the Lab Manager and plays a key part in supporting the daily operations of the analytical laboratory.
Main responsibilities
- Perform chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods that comply with ISO 17025 and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure consistent, reliable performance.
- Oversee laboratory upkeep and maintain readiness for audits.
- Address nonconformance events, including out-of-specification (OOS), out-of-trend (OOT), and deviations.
- Support investigations and corrective actions related to CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Prepare and review technical documentation for laboratory operations.
- Mentor junior staff and help foster a safe, high-performing lab culture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
