Transform and cleanse raw data into actionable business logic to aid stakeholders in constructing reports and data models. Analyze raw data and recommend data sources that best serve the identified business needs. Ensure timely delivery of accurate data to the appropriate stakeholders. Collaborate with the Central Data Team to develop data pipelines following shared best practices and design, and supply data models for usage. Champion data quality and usability across the Financial Services organization. Guarantee availability, quality, and searchability of data and documentation. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient queries and scripts that are well-structured and easy to extend, utilizing version control and CI/CD. Automate testing of data models and implement necessary validations to ensure quality. Contribute to defining and enhancing our internal standards for data models and infrastructure. Ability to communicate intermediate to complex information clearly to team members. Ability to create or maintain simple reports or dashboards in Looker.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines to support analytics and reporting requirements
  • Create data models that make key metrics accessible and understandable for teams
  • Help teams extract both predictive and historical insights from available data
  • Collaborate with Application Engineering, Product, Operations, Risk, and Finance departments

Requirements

  • Experience working with data pipelines and data modeling
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of teams
  • Background in supporting teams with data for forecasting and performance review

Location and Flexibility

This position is open to candidates based in Canada. Work arrangements include fully remote, hybrid, or office-based options in cities where Lightspeed has offices. Availability during EST/EDT business hours is necessary.
