Qualifications

Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery. Knowledge of version control using Git/GitHub. Strong communication skills—able to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. A proactive problem-solving mindset—passionate about delving into data challenges and finding solutions. Desirable Skills and ExperienceBasic knowledge of Python, PySpark, data warehousing, CI/CD processes for dbt, and data governance practices.

The Role
As an Analytics Engineer at SEEK, you will play a pivotal role in developing robust data models that enhance decision-making across our APAC product suite. Utilizing state-of-the-art tools such as Databricks and dbt, you will transform raw data into reliable datasets that serve our product analytics, experimentation, and marketing teams.
Collaborating closely with a dynamic delivery team comprising data solution designers and engineers, you will focus on ensuring data quality, developing models, and providing support to stakeholders. Your contributions will guarantee that the data is accurate, well-documented, and actionable, empowering data scientists, product analysts, and business stakeholders to drive enhancements across SEEK's offerings, including Job Search, Recommendations, and Candidate & Hirer Engagement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing, developing, testing, and operating data models and transformations using SQL and dbt.
- Collaborating with product analytics and experimentation teams to create datasets that address real business challenges.
- Investigating and resolving data issues by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Documenting, governing, and communicating data assets to ensure they are understood, accessible, and suitable for their intended use.
