About the job
The 4CEE Exchange environment is the core of our e-invoicing and Peppol chain. As an Application Operations Engineer, you will ensure that this platform application runs continuously, reliably, and error-free. You will achieve this by closely collaborating with development and support teams, performing in-depth analysis of incidents, and monitoring the quality of the chain from incoming invoices to Peppol exchanges.
What You Will Do
Monitor and analyze production and test environments, with special attention to e-invoicing and Peppol flows.
Investigate complex incidents, including XML/UBL validation, Peppol routing, and API interactions between chain partners.
Support the release, change, and deployment processes of the Exchange platform.
Translate issues into clear, actionable tickets that developers can directly address.
Propose structural improvements for monitoring, error detection, stability, and performance.
Coordinate with support, development, and business teams when incidents impact transaction flows, invoice processing, or Peppol communication.
Contribute to process improvements in a rapidly evolving domain driven by regulations (e.g., European e-invoicing/e-reporting initiatives).
What You Bring
Specific to This Role
Understanding of or interest in e-invoicing, UBL, credit note processing, invoice validation, and document flows.
Experience with the Peppol network (routing, SMP/SML, certificates, compliance, error streams).
A passion for digging into processes and viewing errors as puzzles to solve.
Technical Foundation
Experience in application operations, monitoring, logging, and incident analysis.
Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, including error analysis and validation.
Basic knowledge of APIs and chain integrations.
Fundamentals of AWS (Cognito, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, SES are a plus).
Ability to read code (preferably Python).
