Overview
As an Applications Developer under general supervision, you will leverage your programming and analysis skills to contribute to various system assignments. You will facilitate communication between systems and corporate technical support when additional assistance is necessary. Your problem-solving skills will be crucial in troubleshooting issues, conducting impact analyses, and escalating concerns appropriately. You will define technical requirements and coordinate resources to address challenges effectively. Note that this role does not entail leading others.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Java, jQuery, JSF 2, PrimeFaces, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB3), JPA/Hibernate, Web Services, SQL (preferably Oracle), AJAX, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrates advanced programming, configuration, and analytical skills to meet both business and technical requirements. Capable of working independently to resolve discrepancies, defects, and incidents while understanding business and system impacts. Ability to identify and effectively communicate escalation points.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in articulating thoughts, designs, and ideas clearly, tailoring communication styles to various audiences. Exhibits active listening and effective verbal and written communication skills, contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Skilled at recognizing, analyzing, and diagnosing complex business and technical problems. Able to creatively evaluate alternative solutions and reuse established processes, demonstrating independent decision-making abilities while recognizing when escalation is needed.
