About the job

Join Hadrian - Pioneering the Future of Manufacturing

At Hadrian, we are at the forefront of transforming manufacturing for the aerospace and defense sectors. Our autonomous factories empower companies to produce rockets, satellites, jets, and ships with a remarkable speed increase of up to 10 times and a cost reduction of 50%. By fusing cutting-edge software, robotics, and comprehensive manufacturing processes, we are redefining how America fabricates its essential components.

With a recent $260 million Series C funding round, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new 270,000 square-foot Factory in Mesa, Arizona, which will create 350 immediate job opportunities. Our new headquarters aims to support thousands of future hires, and we are also introducing Hadrian Maritime to enhance naval production. Our innovative Factory-as-a-Service model will deliver complete systems rather than merely individual components.

Collaborating with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across the domains of space, shipbuilding, and aviation, Hadrian is dedicated to scaling production, minimizing costs, and expediting delivery of mission-critical projects. Backed by prominent investors such as Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz, our rapidly growing team is united by our mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

Your Role

As part of Hadrian's Applications Engineering team, you will spearhead the development of innovative 0-1 machining solutions to enhance the throughput and capabilities of our factories. Your focus will be on creating groundbreaking solutions for CNC programming, workholding, fixturing, tooling, process control, and new materials.

We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive Applications Engineer to drive our Machining roadmap, enabling Hadrian's multi-factory expansion across the United States. You will collaborate closely with the Applications Engineering, CAM Operations, Software Engineering, and Robotics teams to push the limits of machining at scale, joining our already world-class team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate New Capabilities – Challenge the boundaries of programming, machining, workholding, and automation to satisfy demanding market needs from our clients.

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Development – Create high-risk, high-reward 0-1 NPI parts as we onboard new customers or technologies (techniques, materials, part families).
