Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Apprentice Metal Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will utilize your skills in buffing, stripping, sanding, masking, filling, spraying, oxidizing, and finishing to restore surfaces to their original beauty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to work order instructions and directives from the Lead Foreman to ensure high-quality work and timely job completion.
- Handle solvents, chemicals, pneumatic tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Comply with all safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including safe operation of company vehicles.
- Complete all required safety and training modules successfully.
- Be available for night shifts (typically from 4/5 PM to 2/3 AM) and have flexibility for occasional day or weekend work.
- Willingness to travel out of town occasionally (company van, daily per diem allowance, and individual hotel accommodations provided).
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or G. E. D. preferred.
- Possess a current and valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable with heights and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, reach, climb, and carry equipment up to 60 lbs unassisted.
- Experience in painting or spraying is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay of $20 per hour for 40 hours per week during the initial training period.
