We are currently looking for a skilled Physical Design CAD Engineer to join our talented team, dedicated to crafting top-notch silicon solutions for high-performance and sustainable Generative AI.
Your Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain MatX's Physical Design flow, ensuring seamless progression from RTL to GDSII, including construction and sign-off phases.
- Automate backend processes, generate insightful reports, conduct post-processing of logs, and derive meaningful metrics.
- Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge EDA tools and methodologies to achieve optimal Performance-Power-Area outcomes.
- Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to resolve issues and implement necessary enhancements.
- Provide training and support to flow users, assisting in troubleshooting any challenges they encounter.
- Oversee licenses, computational resources, and storage, optimizing them for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and support of the front-end CAD flow as needed.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in ASIC Physical Design.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Perl, Python, and TCL.
- Proficient in utilizing industry-standard ASIC tools and methodologies for design construction and sign-off processes.
- This is a hybrid position that requires in-office work in Mountain View, CA three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with EDA license management, LSF, and similar job schedulers; familiarity with cloud-based silicon development is a significant plus.
