The Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) serves as a crucial stepping stone within our leadership pipeline, aimed at nurturing the future leaders of our Bakery Operations Management team. ABOMs are entrusted with executing bakery operations at a level comparable to that of a Bakery Operations Manager (BOM), demonstrating urgency, precision, and accountability. This role is essential in cultivating the leadership skills necessary for managing a bakery independently.
This position seamlessly integrates hands-on operational excellence with talent development, administrative responsibilities, and team leadership. ABOMs function as an integral extension of the BOM, prepared to assume full bakery ownership whenever required. This exciting opportunity is based at our Dallas, TX store, located at 2656 Main St, Dallas, TX 75226.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Execution
• Oversee all core bakery operations, including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Ensure stringent adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Assist in ordering, maintaining inventory accuracy, and controlling shrinkage.
• Collaborate in creating schedules and executing labor to achieve operational goals.
Talent & Team Development
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Provide consistent coaching and real-time feedback on performance.
• Hold team members accountable to established standards while fostering a culture of growth and development.
• Ensure onboarding and training programs are executed according to company standards.
Leadership & Ownership
• Independently manage bakery operations in the absence of the BOM.
• Exemplify urgency, accountability, and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with the BOM and Area leadership to identify and address operational gaps.
• Maintain continuity of operations during transitions or staffing shortages.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

• Proficient in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Capable of performing all bakery roles during peak business periods.
