Join the Insomnia Cookies team as an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) in beautiful Boca Raton, FL! This pivotal leadership role is crafted to cultivate the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers. As an ABOM, you will operate at nearly the same level as a Bakery Operations Manager (BOM), executing bakery operations with a sense of urgency, precision, and accountability while developing the leadership skills necessary to manage a bakery independently.

Your role will seamlessly integrate hands-on operational expertise with talent development, administrative responsibilities, and team leadership. Acting as a vital extension of the BOM, you will need to be prepared to take full ownership of the bakery when required. Our store is conveniently located at 1799 NW 2nd Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Execution
• Oversee all core bakery operations such as inventory management, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Uphold high standards of product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest service experience.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory and managing shrinkage.
• Help create schedules and execute labor plans to meet operational goals.

Talent & Team Development
• Aid in the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Provide ongoing coaching and real-time feedback on performance.
• Hold team members accountable while fostering a culture of growth and development.
• Ensure training programs align with company standards.

Leadership & Ownership
• Manage bakery operations independently in the absence of the BOM.
• Exhibit urgency, accountability, and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with the BOM and area leadership to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure operational continuity during leadership transitions or staffing shortages.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
  • Capable of executing all BOM-level administrative and operational responsibilities independently.
  • The bakery is fully staffed, trained, and consistently meeting high operational standards.
  • Demonstrates a strong culture of accountability and consistency.
  • Acts as a dependable operational leader during any coverage situation.
  • Shows clear readiness and potential for advancement to a BOM role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
