Relevant professional certifications such as AACE, PMI-PMP, MSP Practitioner, APM, or RICS are highly desirable.10-15 years of experience in project, programme, and PMO delivery and controls or analytics leadership roles within the infrastructure, construction, or energy sectors. Consultancy experience, ideally with a top-tier consultancy firm. Proven track record of successfully leading project controls and analytics initiatives for multiple high-value, complex projects and programmes. Experience in building and managing multidisciplinary teams, with a successful history of delivering data-driven solutions at the executive level.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic Controls Analytics Project Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead impactful analytics initiatives and manage a team of professionals dedicated to delivering transformative project and programme controls solutions. You will have the chance to shape strategic controls frameworks and analytics methodologies at both project and programme levels, ensuring that PMO functions are executed with data-driven precision. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior executives, fostering teamwork across multidisciplinary teams to enhance project performance.

Your Responsibilities

In the position of Controls Analytics Project Director, you will oversee the design, implementation, and governance of controls analytics solutions on complex infrastructure projects. Your role will include strategic oversight and operational leadership in project controls analytics, ensuring that data-driven insights are utilized to manage project risks, control costs, and inform decision-making. This position is vital for aligning project outcomes with client objectives and delivering value through high-level controls and analytics expertise.

Strategic Leadership in Controls Analytics:

  • Direct the development and execution of a comprehensive controls analytics and back office strategy across large-scale projects, either independently or as part of a PMO, providing insights to enhance complex project and programme performance.
  • Manage analytics initiatives across various project dimensions, including cost, schedule, risk, benefits realization, change control, and commercial management, promoting client maturity where necessary, while ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary trusted advisor to executive-level stakeholders regarding complex PMO and project controls strategies, analytics insights, and value-added recommendations.

Project Controls Governance & Compliance:

  • Establish and implement governance structures and compliance frameworks to ensure consistent application of controls analytics across all relevant functions in projects, programmes, and PMOs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, advocating best practices in data management, analytics, and project controls.
  • Regularly review and refine controls processes to adapt to evolving industry standards and client needs.
