As an Associate EC&I Engineer within our esteemed Nuclear team, you will immerse yourself in a variety of exciting international and UK-based projects. This role encompasses participation in multi-disciplinary initiatives throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from client consultancy to comprehensive turn-key solutions. Your role will include client interactions, developing bids and proposals, and ensuring project delivery aligns with AECOM's rigorous standards for quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.

We seek individuals who can leverage their expertise both independently and collaboratively to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. Our projects are inherently multi-disciplinary, spanning from client consultancy support to complete turn-key solutions, frequently involving electrical system design, building services, and direct consultancy services.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute EC&I design and engineering tasks within the department, upholding high standards and compliance with nuclear regulations.

  • Generate, review, and authorize design documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, instrument datasheets, and system specifications.

  • Provide design substantiation and support for safety cases, design reviews, and regulatory submissions.

  • Review and validate work produced by other engineers and designers, ensuring adherence to standards of consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Mentor and nurture the development of junior team members, enhancing technical capability within the EC&I team.

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to facilitate project delivery and drive business growth.

  • Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the EC&I business, identifying avenues for innovation and improvement.

  • Assist with site inspections, commissioning, and testing of EC&I systems as needed.

  • Maintain technical records and document control in accordance with company and client quality procedures.
