Qualifications

Required Skills:• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in PowerPoint deck creation, formatting, and data visualization for medical and scientific presentations, particularly in medical education or pharmaceutical advertising.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Proficiency in navigating image databases such as Shutterstock and Getty.• Experience formatting materials across various medical therapeutic areas and familiarity with medical/scientific terminology.• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the capability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to independently address unforeseen challenges and suggest viable solutions.• A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and high energy, willing to tackle diverse assignments.• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.• Critical thinking skills and a high degree of initiative.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across Editorial Services, Scientific Direction, Program Management, Production, and Studio teams.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). Desired Skills:• A college degree in visual arts/design, English, journalism, or biological sciences.• Experience with print permissions and copyright guidelines.• Familiarity with continuing medical education materials and an understanding of ACCME guidelines.• Knowledge of internet technologies and prior experience in online content development.• Experience utilizing web-based document sharing platforms (e.g., Box) and project management tools.• Familiarity with PubMed and other online research databases.

About the job

We are seeking a talented Associate Editor to join our dynamic team at Mindlance in New York. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and formatting of engaging educational content in PowerPoint format. Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating and formatting compelling PowerPoint presentations for video-based educational materials.
• Generating clear tables and figures in PowerPoint to accompany text-based educational programming.
• Reproducing figures as needed using Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
• Sourcing relevant images from our image database to enhance activity content.
• Providing guidance on permission and copyright matters, collaborating with Editorial Assistants to secure necessary approvals in a timely manner.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned.
