ResponsibilitiesDevelop Automation Frameworks: Create and uphold a robust automation framework using Python to validate audio features, performance, and stability. Scale Test Harnesses: Construct and oversee hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) setups that accurately replicate the vehicle's acoustic and infotainment environment. In-Vehicle Tuning & Testing: Execute both subjective and objective audio tuning and validation in prototype and production vehicles. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve integration challenges related to audio quality and system performance. Troubleshoot & Debug: Conduct in-depth analysis of system logs and traces to debug complex issues related to audio drivers, DSP algorithms, media playback, and network streaming. Isolate issues linked to pops/clicks, latency, and synchronization. Voice & Microphone Performance: Integrate and validate microphone array performance, Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), and Noise Reduction (NR) algorithms to ensure seamless hands-free calling.

Role overview

The Audio Systems Integration Engineer will focus on delivering exceptional audio experiences in vehicles produced by Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring that immersive soundscapes, voice command systems, and safety alerts function at a high standard. Acting as a key link between software development and the in-vehicle user experience, the engineer will help elevate audio systems beyond the ordinary.
