Qualifications Proven experience in AV systems engineering or a related field. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with industry-standard AV technologies and solutions. Technical certification(s) in relevant AV systems preferred.

Role Overview: Audio Visual Systems Engineer

Location: ABC - Dublin

The Audio Visual Systems Engineer oversees the performance and reliability of audio, video, lighting, IT, and experiential systems at a high-profile venue. This role is central to ensuring events run smoothly and technology meets the highest standards. The position calls for leadership, project management, technical troubleshooting, and clear communication.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning of advanced audio, video, lighting, IT, and experiential systems in a premier venue.
  • Calibrate, configure, and install systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance from the start.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and system use.
  • Guide a team of engineers in maintaining and optimizing systems for daily event production.
  • Monitor and manage break-fix and project request tickets, assigning engineering resources to reduce downtime.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all production technology issues within the facility.
  • Provide advanced technical support for complex issues involving audio, video, IT, media management, digital signage, signal encoding, and broadcasting.
  • Develop and carry out a preventative maintenance plan for all event technology equipment and systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all facility equipment and systems.
