The ability to forge professional relationships with customers and team members. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Service Manager role. A proven track record of surpassing business objectives. The capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Sound knowledge of OSHA regulations and MSDS compliance.

As the Automotive Service Manager at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, your primary responsibility will be to foster a culture of high performance within the service department. You will cultivate a motivated team environment, collaborating closely with the Service Team to enhance their performance through proactive coaching and hands-on management of store processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by collaborating with the Store Manager on final hiring decisions.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of technicians and service personnel, ensuring effective planning and scheduling of their tasks while monitoring the completion of assignments.
  • Coach service department teammates on operational procedures, adhering to ISI systems and service standards.
  • Engage directly with customers in areas including sales, service, and adjustments, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Assess the performance and productivity of all service department staff, providing necessary feedback and guidance.
  • Manage parts inventory and oversee external purchases, ensuring compliance with parts and Tire Purchase Program requirements, while maintaining and restocking in-house parts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.
  • Oversee the layout and positioning of equipment and hardware within the service department.
  • Monitor the shop area and equipment for adherence to company safety protocols.
  • Guide personnel in the enforcement of the wheel torqueing process and ensure proper inspections are conducted.
