The Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader for the Americas will play a pivotal role in enhancing the growth of our aviation engineering practice. Reporting directly to the Americas Aviation Lead, this leader will focus on elevating delivery quality, bolstering technical expertise within the practice, and leveraging cross-business resources to represent AECOM as a front-runner in the aviation industry. Given the nature of this role, the location is flexible and allows for remote or virtual work, with travel as required.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Growth and Sales
Drive practice expansion, strategy formulation, and service sales to the aviation sector. Collaborate with Regional Aviation Market Sector Leads, the Global Aviation team, and Regional Aviation Division Managers to foster growth. Support aviation capture managers in securing and executing major engineering projects.
Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, partners, industry groups, and stakeholders, serving as an ambassador for AECOM. Utilize technical expertise to help shape capture plans that align with business development strategies and technical capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging in national collaborations with Aviation Planning, B+P, and Construction Management across aviation civil engineering services.
- Creating and executing national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Assembling and structuring technical teams with the necessary skills for successful project delivery.
- Identifying and recruiting top industry talent based on market strategy.
- Enhancing existing strategies to drive organizational growth in the Americas aviation market.
- Providing leadership with insights on resource capabilities to facilitate market growth and expand geographic reach.
