Key ResponsibilitiesLead the procurement, assembly, acceptance testing, and integration of avionics flight components and harnessing. Draft, implement, and maintain work instructions for complex assemblies. Oversee and ensure the quality of vendor-supplied products and services. Design and adjust manufacturing processes suitable for the hardware’s maturity using a mix of high-volume and developmental manufacturing techniques. Conduct production readiness reviews and manage hardware configuration post-review. Collaborate with design teams to enhance manufacturability, testing, and integration. Engage with experts across teams to ensure timely system deployment while satisfying all requirements; challenge assumptions and foster strong professional relationships. Participate in integrated testing and launch operations for engines and vehicles. Monitor and analyze production, testing, and flight failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to enhance reliability and reduce risks.

Position Summary

The avionics system is the cornerstone of highly reusable, functional, and dependable space systems. As a Manufacturing Engineer at our dynamic space company, you will design systems to deliver Stoke’s avionics components promptly while adhering to all requirements, including quality standards tailored to the application. Your role will involve designing and refining tooling and processes, serving as a vital liaison between the Avionics organization and the production and test teams. You will proactively seek state-of-the-art solutions to complex challenges and contribute to establishing company standards for avionics development and production. A focus on rapid execution, self-direction, and continuous learning is essential.
