BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with a focus on electrical engineering and electronics. Proven experience in designing and developing test solutions for complex electronic systems. Strong programming skills with proficiency in automation software development, particularly in Python. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to avionics hardware and testing processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

AVIONICS TEST ENGINEER (STARSHIP)

The Components Test team at SpaceX is dedicated to creating cutting-edge test and manufacturing processes for the world’s most advanced spacecraft avionics. Our engineers specialize in the flight control devices and systems that enable critical functions on our spacecraft, including inertial measurement units, network hardware, power distribution systems, antennas, and more. We engineer software and build systems to rigorously test these flight components, ensuring maximum performance and reliability in extreme environments, where mission success is paramount.

As an Avionics Test Engineer, you will have the unparalleled opportunity to design and develop test systems that validate the performance of these components in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary environment. You will be tasked with building new test systems and infrastructures from the ground up, including hardware, software, and test sequences that explore all potential failure modes.
