Qualifications

Qualifications7+ years of backend development experience with Python or Java, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proficiency in Apache Kafka, including Kafka Connect and Schema Registry. In-depth knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture, distributed systems, event sourcing, and CQRS patterns. Experience with AWS foundational services such as VPC, ECS, Lambda, RDS, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge. Practical experience with tools like Kafka Connectors and Debezium. Strong background in application integration patterns, RESTful APIs, and messaging protocols. Able to perform detailed troubleshooting and optimization of our platform collaboratively with team members. Ability to design scalable systems and multi-country deployment strategies. Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK for infrastructure provisioning. A proactive approach to automation, with the capability to create tools that enhance task efficiency, reliability, and performance. Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who possesses a robust background in software development, alongside extensive expertise in AWS Cloud, particularly within the banking sector. This pivotal role involves leading the charge in adopting infrastructure as code principles, ensuring efficient software development and deployment processes.

Your primary mission will be to advance our continuous integration and deployment strategy within a delivery pipeline designed for automated quality checks, swift cloud infrastructure deployment, and the creation of operational tools and metrics for development teams. To thrive in this role, you will need a harmonious blend of development and operational experience that allows you to understand the needs of your fellow developers while maintaining the uptime of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and design scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Establish integration solutions to ensure seamless communication among microservices, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Participate in developing continuous delivery processes, automation frameworks, and pipelines to enhance the developer and customer experience.
  • Optimize database interactions and uphold data integrity across distributed systems.
  • Develop and implement best practices for messaging, integration, and data pipeline architectures.
  • Identify and create opportunities to enhance our processes and automation tools.
  • Continuously learn and promote a cloud-first and continuous delivery mindset.
