About the Role
We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to become a vital part of our Platform Group. You will be instrumental in designing and developing shared infrastructure components that are integral to Semperis's enterprise security and identity solutions. This role demands both technical prowess and the ability to partner effectively across teams.
What You'll Do
As a Backend Engineer on our Core Platform team, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing shared platform components for multiple product teams, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Architecting distributed systems using microservices and event-driven architectures to handle enterprise-scale workloads.
- Owning key backend services from initial conception to deployment, focusing on code quality, performance improvements, and operational excellence.
- Collaborating closely with product engineers, DevOps, and architects to define platform capabilities and technical standards.
- Leading technical initiatives that enhance developer productivity, system observability, and platform resilience.
- Contributing to architectural decisions and establishing best practices for backend development within the organization.
- Analyzing system performance and data patterns to identify optimization opportunities and guide future platform investments.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in C# and . NET Core, with a solid understanding of modern framework features and performance optimization techniques.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration within cloud environments (preferably Azure, AWS, or GCP).
