About the job
About Us:
DeepJudge stands at the forefront of AI and ICT innovation in Switzerland, revolutionizing the way law firms and legal departments access and utilize their knowledge. Founded by ex-Google search engineers holding PhDs in AI from ETH Zurich and supported by elite Silicon Valley investors, we are crafting the intelligence infrastructure that empowers the legal sector.
While every firm can license our advanced AI models, each possesses unique institutional knowledge. Years of expertise, work products, and precedents often remain siloed across systems, underutilized and hard to access. DeepJudge transforms this challenge, making expertise immediately available via premier enterprise search and AI infrastructure, allowing organizations to automate processes, create knowledge-enhanced applications, and leverage experience as a sustainable competitive advantage.
Our technology is trusted by some of the world’s most prestigious law firms, such as Freshfields, Gunderson Dettmer, Holland & Knight, Arent Fox, and Cozen O’Connor. With our headquarters in Switzerland and an expanding team across North America, we are rapidly growing and redefining how professional knowledge is discovered and utilized.
At DeepJudge, we prioritize speed, intellectual rigor, and a deep commitment to our creations. By combining groundbreaking research with close collaboration with our clients, we deliver impactful solutions. If you aspire to be part of a team that is shaping the way AI transforms high-stakes knowledge work, look no further.
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and take significant ownership from the outset. You will collaborate closely with talented, motivated, and enjoyable colleagues who are enthusiastic about addressing the intricate challenges of building a high-performance product at scale.
Our indexing system forms the backbone of our search engine, efficiently processing queries across hundreds of millions of documents in mere fractions of a second. Developing and maintaining these indices under stringent time and resource constraints necessitates the implementation of highly efficient, scalable software. To meet demanding throughput and latency standards, we employ modern technologies in distributed and parallel computing, database systems, and cloud platforms.
