Join AECOM as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Bucharest!In this pivotal role, you will:Lead the design, specification, and integration of rotating equipment including pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, and aeration systems.Prepare and review datasheets, calculations, specifications, and technical reports, focusing on rotating machinery.Provide technical insights on piping systems and water/wastewater treatment equipment, such as screens, grit chambers, sludge handling, chemical dosing, and disinfection units.Contribute to the review and coordination of static equipment like tanks, vessels, filters, and heat exchangers as necessary.Ensure adherence to project requirements, industry standards (ASME, API, AWWA, ISO), and client expectations.Coordinate mechanical interfaces with process, structural, electrical, and Instrumentation & Control disciplines.Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and engage in design reviews.Develop mechanical layouts, general arrangement drawings, and piping designs in both 2D and 3D formats.Assist in the preparation of material requisitions, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project documentation.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.Collaborate effectively with other AECOM offices and international project teams.
