About the job
The role revolves around three primary pillars:
Technical Expertise
- Feasibility Studies: Assist clients in selecting the most suitable battery technologies, optimizing revenue from energy markets, and sizing storage systems, whether they are stand-alone or hybridized with solar and/or wind energy.
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct market analyses, including regulatory frameworks, potential revenue sources, and valuation opportunities (energy markets, system services, data provided by specialized third parties, secondary markets, etc.).
- Project Development: Engage throughout the entire lifecycle of BESS projects, from design and engineering phases to contracting, construction, and commissioning.
- Operations & Performance: Support clients in optimizing the operation of storage assets to enhance availability, performance, reliability, and lifespan of installations.
- Grid Integration: Provide expertise on the challenges of integrating storage systems into existing electrical grids and associated solutions.
Service Development and Methodologies
- Contribute to defining and deploying the roadmap aimed at strengthening 3E's storage service offerings.
- Develop and structure methodologies, tools, procedures, and standard deliverables for BESS projects, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
- Leverage lessons learned to continuously improve internal processes and practices.
- Participate in project management assistance missions: support during tendering/contracting phases, construction, and commissioning of photovoltaic plants and wind farms.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Train and support colleagues on BESS-related topics, ensuring ongoing skill development within teams.
- Encourage the sharing of technical knowledge and best practices among the group’s various international offices.
