Job Summary: Join Latitude, Inc. as a Battery Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for battery production. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the efficient creation of high-quality batteries, consistently meeting cost, quality, and performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization:
Enhance manufacturing processes for critical battery components, including electrodes, electrolytes, separators, and casings. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, quality, and yield, while identifying and resolving process bottlenecks to maximize throughput.
Equipment Selection and Validation:
Assess and select appropriate manufacturing equipment and technologies for battery production, developing and executing validation protocols to ensure reliability and performance. Work with suppliers to implement tailored solutions and overcome technical challenges.
Quality Assurance and Control:
Set quality standards and specifications for battery components and finished products, implementing rigorous quality control procedures to monitor manufacturing processes. Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and initiate corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards in battery manufacturing, developing and implementing protocols to mitigate workplace hazards and foster a culture of safety. Stay informed on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with R&D teams to translate innovative product designs into scalable manufacturing processes. Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to secure timely availability of materials, while coordinating with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations and prompt issue resolution.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain thorough documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications, preparing reports and presentations to communicate project status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives. Engage in cross-functional meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations.
