RESPONSIBILITIES: In your role as a Speech Language Pathologist at AIM, you will be essential in transforming lives through effective communication. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and implementing individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.
  • Assessing student progress and determining readiness for service termination.
  • Conducting independent evaluations for service eligibility.
  • Participating in IEP meetings for appropriate placement and goal setting.
  • Collaborating with educators to enhance communication skills through classroom activities.
  • Providing professional development for school staff on recognizing communication deficits.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, students, and parents regarding therapy goals.
  • Creating a supportive learning environment that caters to student maturity levels.
  • Coordinating ongoing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and implementing necessary changes.
  • Assisting in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.
  • Maintaining and organizing all necessary reports and records.
