About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Board Design Engineer to lead the design and development of printed circuit boards (PCBs) from initial concept to large-scale production. This role encompasses architectural design, schematic capture, layout, fabrication, testing, and qualification of complex high-speed PCBs. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in high-speed digital design, signal integrity, power integrity, wire bonding, and board fabrication. Collaborating closely with teams in photonics integrated circuits, electronic integrated circuits, mechanical design, and software, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative board designs.

Your Impact:

  • Designing analog and digital circuits, including high-speed transceivers, power management, memory, and sensitive receivers.
  • Selecting electrical components such as SoCs, FPGAs, and high-speed switches while optimizing for both performance and cost.
  • Ensuring signal and power integrity through modeling and laboratory characterization.
  • Managing PCB layout with comprehensive documentation of signal and power integrity constraints.
  • Overseeing component vendors and contract manufacturers for fabrication and testing, including coordination with software resources for testing.
  • Applying system knowledge related to EMI/EMC, reliability, and compliance.
