As the MFC Store Manager, you will oversee and coordinate operations within one of our dark stores, prioritizing safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and a fun work environment.Daily responsibilities include:Maintaining a safe workplace for all team members.Assessing work forecasts and establishing productivity targets to align with overall operational goals.Identifying and spearheading process improvement initiatives.Optimizing labor resources to ensure the efficient operation of MFCs while achieving production targets.Cultivating a start-up mentality and upholding Glovo’s Core Values. RESPONSIBILITIESOversee at least one MFC.Ensure staff are adequately trained and their needs are met so they can concentrate on their tasks.Continuously motivate, coach, and provide performance feedback to pickers and picker leads.Coordinate both physical and virtual workflows to ensure timely dispatch of products.Manage labor allocation, conduct meetings, and assign job responsibilities.Engage in thorough problem-solving across all areas to guarantee smooth operations.Train and support employees in Glovo’s standard operating procedures and the use of relevant equipment and software.Ensure pickers are equipped with the necessary tools and facilitate repairs or replacements as required.Timely report and escalate systemic issues to management.Review and update Standard Operating Procedures in line with Glovo's best practices.Comprehend processes and daily objectives thoroughly, making recommendations for performance enhancements.Identify and mitigate safety hazards within the MFC.Perform administrative tasks and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.Collaborate with other departments (HR, Category Management, Finance, Facility contractors, Safety Manager, LiveOps, etc.) to implement initiatives. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDEMinimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, working with multidisciplinary teams in retail, distribution, or logistics environments.Effective communication and motivational skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent logical reasoning skills.Proficient in people management (managing teams of 10-20). Ability to prioritize tasks and execute with excellence.Fluency in both Italian and English. Nice to have:Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and Lean methodologies.
