Building Engineer

Essential Responsibilities:Execute plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as required for the building. Maintain heating equipment, chillers (both air and water cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV systems, and air distribution systems. Monitor and adjust mechanical and pneumatic equipment, including VFDs, steam stations, control gauges, distributor panels, valves, thermostats, and diffusers to ensure a comfortable environment. Assess field conditions and carry out necessary repairs or adjustments. Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, floors, and perform general repairs and installations throughout the property. Conduct maintenance on plumbing fixtures including water closets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, and lavatories. Implement preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with OEM standards, building protocols, manufacturer recommendations, and industry best practices. Inspect engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling towers, motors, house pumps, electric rooms, backup generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps. Troubleshoot and repair base building systems. Perform ongoing quality control inspections. Reinstall or replace signage and ensure rooms are clean and free of obstructions and debris.
