Minimum of three years of hands-on experience administering Encompass mortgage software. Strong understanding of loan processes, systems, and regulatory considerations. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

This hybrid role is based in Minneapolis, MN and requires regular on-site workdays. The position is full-time and supports one of Emergent Software’s key clients. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U. S. without sponsorship.

Role overview

The Business Analyst and Encompass Administrator will manage and improve software applications used in banking and mortgage operations, with a special focus on Encompass. This position combines technical administration with business process analysis, collaborating with teams across the organization to support daily operations and new projects.

Main responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison among business line managers, infrastructure teams, software vendors, and end users. Analyze, document, communicate, and validate business workflows.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to optimize technology in loan operations and address software or operational issues.
  • Act as the Encompass system administrator, overseeing configuration, user access, workflows, and feature enhancements.
  • Implement new systems or features in response to upgrades or business needs.
  • Support special projects for Loan Operations and Technology Services, and provide backup to team members when needed.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical or operational issues related to loan operations applications and banking products.
  • Work closely with bankers, management, and software vendors to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide technical guidance.
  • Stay current on loan operations regulations, including those for mortgage and consumer lending.
  • Offer business insights and recommendations to improve automation and future workflow design for mortgage and consumer lending.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Encompass Administrator in a loan operations environment.
  • At least five years of experience in mortgage or consumer loan operations.
  • Minimum three years of hands-on experience administering Encompass mortgage software.
  • Strong understanding of loan processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with DecisionPro and/or LaserPro.
  • Background supporting document generation, closing processes, or other loan workflow tools beyond Encompass.
