Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related financial field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, focusing on business process modeling, data flow analysis, and data conversion.
- Familiarity with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system, including transaction types and interfacing methods.
- Proven experience in creating comprehensive functional documentation.
- Strong analytical skills to accurately define processes and workflows, identifying missing or duplicate functionality in existing applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with users and project teams to document requirements for the maintenance, enhancement, or development of computer application systems, including technical overviews and context diagrams.
- Competence in developing and managing information systems documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
- Understanding of relational database theories and concepts.
- Expertise in testing complex applications and assessing whether requirements and design specifications are met.
- Capability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments for themselves or junior analysts.
- Skill in estimating time requirements for requirement analysis and programming tasks in a computer application maintenance environment.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with Project Managers, Data Analysts, and Technical Architects to develop efficient solutions for maintaining business applications, adhering to departmental standards.
- Proficiency in preparing complex computer program specifications and test plans, as well as creating test databases and environments.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting and conveying technical information related to programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing.
- Expertise in managing technical documentation in line with departmental standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience in working with accounting and financial computing applications and monitoring complex interfaces with external systems.
