The Vice President / Director of Finance will serve as NODA’s first finance leader, responsible for building and leading the strategic finance function. This hybrid Austin-based role is CFO-track and calls for someone who combines strong analytical skills with experience in capital allocation, ideally gained in investment banking or investing, and is ready to apply these strengths in a growing operating company. Role overview This leader will work directly with the founding team to shape NODA’s financial model, projections, and story. Responsibilities span pricing contracts, forecasting revenue for prototypes and production, planning headcount based on backlog, and communicating the company’s financial narrative to investors and the board. The VP / Director will own financial planning and analysis, develop scalable models and reporting, and support future equity raises from diligence through closing. Collaboration with the Controller and external accounting partners is key, as they manage accounting, audits, and compliance with government contracts, while this role focuses on strategy and capital planning. Key responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis Build and maintain the operating model, including revenue forecasts, headcount planning, operating expenses, and cash flow projections. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting with input from department leaders. Translate the operating model into regular reporting for the board, investors, and executive team.
