Role overview
This position operates at the intersection of market trends, trading, and commercial strategy. The work involves identifying developments such as ETS2, green gas, blending obligations, and power purchase agreements (PPAs), then shaping these into new business propositions. From initial idea through to launch, you will guide these initiatives across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Translate market changes (ETS2, green gas, blending obligations, PPAs) into new propositions
- Build and justify business cases for proposed ideas
- Make complex market information clear and actionable for colleagues
- Refine processes to support smooth implementation of new propositions
- Collaborate with trading, commercial, IT, legal, business intelligence, and external partners
- Support and advise decision-makers using market and data insights
Success in this role means launching new propositions that directly reduce energy bills for customers.
The team
The Trading Portfolio Management team includes traders, a process manager, data analysts, and developers. The team closely monitors the market and seeks out new commercial opportunities. There is space to identify and develop ideas that align with the company’s strategic direction. In this role, you will take ownership of projects from the first concept through to full implementation.
