Join the dynamic team at Enterprise Singapore's Ho Chi Minh City Overseas Centre as a Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Manager (BDM/SBDM). This pivotal role focuses on enabling Singapore-based companies to explore and establish their business presence in Vietnam while fostering robust trade and investment relations between Singapore and Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance to Singaporean companies aiming to expand into Vietnam, utilizing in-depth knowledge of the local business landscape, regulations, and norms.
- Create and manage a pipeline of prospective deals for Singapore-based firms, facilitating successful deal closures.
- Conduct market research and monitor the business environment to pinpoint growth and investment opportunities, particularly in:
- Industrial infrastructure
- Manufacturing
- Lifestyle & consumer sectors (including food services, food products, and retail)
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both public and private sector partners to support Singaporean companies in their Vietnamese ventures.
- Assist in various business development activities, including:
- Organizing and facilitating business development trips and delegations from Singapore
- Writing comprehensive meeting reports
- Analyzing business leads to refine future strategies.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in business development or market research, preferably in the private or public sector.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing or business development role.
- Experience liaising with government officials is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, independence, and a results-oriented mindset.
- A genuine interest in business development and market expansion.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Vietnamese and English.
- Willingness to travel within Vietnam and to Singapore as required.
- A collaborative spirit is essential, given the small team dynamic.
