We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic sales professional to propel our next phase of growth by generating new business opportunities and developing a robust sales pipeline.
Role Overview
As a BDR, your primary focus will be on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business leads within the logistics and shipping industry. You'll be instrumental in setting appointments for our sales team and supporting our efforts to expand our market presence. As the initial point of contact for prospective clients, you will foster strong relationships and position our company as their preferred logistics partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to acquire new accounts, targeting sectors such as e-commerce, manufacturing, import/export, and freight forwarding.
- Qualify inbound leads and respond swiftly to assess their shipping and logistics needs, challenges, and timelines.
- Develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, diligently tracking activities in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate product demonstrations and meetings, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment.
- Engage with internal teams (operations, customer service, marketing) to gain insights into service offerings and tailor messaging to prospects.
- Stay informed on industry trends (global shipping rates, customs regulations, e-commerce fulfillment) and leverage that knowledge to educate potential clients.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) including outbound engagements, meetings scheduled, and qualified opportunities.
- Provide valuable feedback to marketing and product teams regarding prospect challenges, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Maintain accurate and current records in the CRM, documenting all interactions and outlining next steps.
- Represent the company at industry events and webinars when needed, and support marketing campaigns through targeted outreach and content sharing.
