JOB PURPOSE
As a Business Intelligence Consultant at DEPT®, your mission is to empower clients by transforming intricate data into straightforward, actionable insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their business operations, decision-making needs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that truly matter. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating this information into intelligent BI solutions and user-friendly dashboards.
Your role as a Business Intelligence Consultant positions you as the go-to expert in converting business inquiries into data products, conceptualizing intuitive dashboard designs, and validating data with stakeholders. You will adeptly manage multiple data sources, establish and maintain data connections, and guide clients in selecting and utilizing the appropriate BI tools. Your support will not only ensure that clients access the right data but also instill confidence in their ability to leverage it for enhancing marketing, e-commerce, and overall business performance. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the ongoing success and growth of our department and team.
As part of our expert team, you will handle a portfolio of renowned clients and oversee various projects, ranging from strategic consultation and solution design to hands-on implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead discovery workshops with clients to grasp their business model, stakeholders, KPIs, and reporting requirements;
- Convert business inquiries into detailed BI specifications, data models, and dashboard designs;
- Design, prototype, and develop dashboards tailored for both management and specialist users, ensuring they are intuitive and actionable;
- Establish, validate, and maintain data integrations from various sources (e.g., marketing platforms, CRM, e-commerce, internal systems);
- Conduct audits of existing BI and reporting frameworks, evaluating data quality, tools, processes, and overall data maturity;
- Work closely with clients and in-house teams to deliver exceptional BI solutions.
