Requirements:A Master's degree in Information Technology combined with at least 17 years of relevant professional experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in database and application server administration, including roles with coordination and leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated expertise in operational support of mission-critical platforms, focusing on availability, resilience, and controlled changes. Strong knowledge of relational database systems, SQL, and query optimization techniques. Proficiency in business intelligence reporting tools. Excellent knowledge of Oracle technologies.

Join our dynamic team as a Business Intelligence Specialist in Luxembourg. We are seeking a talented individual who will provide expert services, working either from our office or directly at client locations. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Development team, collaborating closely with a prominent client’s IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management, administration, and monitoring of databases, application servers, and deployment platforms in both production and non-production settings.
  • Ensure the optimal operation of database and application servers, focusing on availability, performance, and service continuity.
  • Conduct capacity analysis, performance assessments, and system evaluations, recommending and executing improvements as necessary.
  • Implement data integrity control procedures, and oversee the proper execution and maintenance of backup and restore policies, including local datacentre and disaster recovery sites.
  • Enforce security protocols for the information infrastructure, including hardening, access control, patching coordination, and audit support.
  • Provide Level 2 support and lead problem management activities, including thorough problem and root cause analysis, as well as corrective and preventive actions.
  • Act as the technical lead for database and middleware operations, defining objectives, roadmaps, priorities, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate and lead technical activities, ensuring alignment with work programmes, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the ICT strategy, policies, and procedures for databases and middleware.
  • Define and maintain architecture principles for database and middleware platforms.
  • Manage changes and releases affecting database and application server platforms, from preparation to post-implementation reviews.
  • Report on service status, risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans.
