Qualifications:3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or transit bus sector. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain a diverse workforce. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for effective team interaction and reporting. Comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing practices and experience in continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to analyze production metrics and utilize data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance. Proficient in standard computer applications and manufacturing software tools. Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement is a plus.

  • Manage quality control processes through self-inspections and teamwork to ensure high-quality output.
  • Facilitate daily production meetings to track progress, identify challenges, and devise solutions to meet production targets.
  • Oversee personnel management, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, while maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and HR to resolve operational challenges and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Support adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement to foster positive labor relations within the team.
