Our client stands as one of the largest multi-channel retailers in the UK, based in London, employing over 50,000 individuals. With a diverse operation that includes e-commerce, physical stores, and wholesale, they are in the midst of a £400 million digital and operational transformation initiative. It has been recognized that effective people and change management are vital to the success of this delivery. The Change Management Lead will play a pivotal role in this initiative, collaborating closely with the Chief People Officer and COO.
The Role
As the Change Management Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the people change aspect of the transformation program. Your goal will be to empower employees, managers, and leaders throughout the company to embrace new methodologies effectively. You will craft and implement change strategies for key workstreams, manage a small team of change analysts, and provide trusted counsel to senior stakeholders involved in the program.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute change management strategies for significant transformation workstreams, which will include stakeholder engagement plans, communication initiatives, and training methodologies.
Lead a team of 2-3 change analysts and managers, coordinating their contributions across various program streams.
Conduct assessments of change impacts and readiness evaluations within affected business units.
Establish and nurture a change network throughout the organization, engaging line managers and local champions to foster grassroots adoption.
Provide reports on change readiness and adoption metrics to the program board and Executive Committee.
What We're Looking For
7-10 years of experience in change management, organizational design, or transformation consulting, with direct accountability for delivering change on large-scale programs.
Deep expertise in change management methodologies (PROSCI, Kotter, or similar) applied in complex organizational settings.
Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and build trust at all organizational levels.
Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and change implementation.
