Role overview
This role centers on creating advanced chemistry problems designed to test and improve AI models. The work involves developing deterministic tasks, each with a single, verifiable solution, that require deep reasoning and computational accuracy. Projects may span computational chemistry, physical and analytical chemistry, chemical engineering workflows, and specialized tasks using advanced software tools.
What you will do
- Design challenging chemistry problems that reflect real-world scientific scenarios.
- Create tasks with a single correct answer and provide fully verified solutions.
- Develop problems that require rigorous reasoning and computational depth.
- Use Python and, when needed, domain-specific chemistry tools or simulation packages.
- Ensure all tasks are reproducible, technically accurate, and well documented.
- Write clear, concise technical explanations in English.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
- Background in research or industry with computational or quantitative chemistry workflows.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with scientific libraries is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of modeling, numerical methods, and chemical reasoning.
- Ability to develop original, complex problems that go beyond textbook examples.
- Keen attention to detail and skill in writing technical documentation.
