Role overview

As a Chemistry & Python Specialist, contributors work on a variety of computational chemistry tasks. Projects may involve:

  • Designing original computational chemistry problems that mirror real research workflows
  • Developing Python solutions using libraries such as numpy, scipy, and chemistry-specific packages
  • Creating problems that require computational approaches beyond manual calculation
  • Formulating challenges in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, or molecular modeling that demand advanced reasoning
  • Basing problems on real-world research issues or practical chemistry applications
  • Validating answers through Python and established computational chemistry methods
  • Documenting both problem statements and verified solutions thoroughly

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar libraries is also acceptable
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience (applied work, research, or teaching)
  • Experience with numerical methods in chemistry
  • Strong knowledge of computational chemistry concepts and methods
  • Excellent written English (C1 level or higher)
