Two-month contract with potential for extension -- Work location is in Winston Salem, with per diem available for eligible candidates.
The Cisco CCNP Engineer will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of all LAN/WAN voice and data infrastructure on both classified and unclassified Cisco networks. Key responsibilities include configuring and supporting routers, switches, security, and access devices.
The role involves assisting in the design and implementation of core switches, routers, and Cisco VoIP Unified Communications, along with managing updates and modifications to LAN/WAN and Cisco wireless networks. This encompasses addressing all hardware and software issues, continuous administration of the corporate network, and implementing and overseeing physical and logical security measures.
Additionally, the Cisco CCNP Engineer will keep accurate records of maintenance, inventory, and security protocols using ITIL processes for voice and data networks. Collaboration with branch team members to identify and resolve infrastructure challenges is also expected.
This position provides comprehensive network infrastructure support, including setup, configuration, modification, testing, maintenance, operation, and administration of Cisco switches and routers, as well as Cisco permission management.
This is a two-month contract position with the opportunity for extension.
